Learning a technique in pieces can take years
You want to learn the technique properly, but a seminar here and a webinar there means years before the whole procedure comes together. You may know parts of it and still never have practiced it start to finish with an instructor watching.
It’s hard to grow alone, too. Most of us work in clinics where no one else does what we do, with no one to talk a hard case through with.
One immersive week
Bootcamp is our immersive, fast-paced program, designed to take doctors from zero to fully equipped in one week in Tampa Bay, Florida.
Instead of learning in pieces, you work through the whole procedure in order: the exam, X-ray and CBCT setup and analysis, and the corrective setup, from table placement and mastoid support to the head height angle and leading the stylus. Then post-X-ray analysis and interpretation, with extensive hands-on time to practice it all start to finish, instructors at your side.
You spend the week with doctors who do what you do, with craniocervical neurology and clinical topics such as concussion and headaches along the way. It ends with the Friday night awards dinner with the whole community.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does it cost?
$2,495, or $1,895 for AOI members.
Is Bootcamp included with membership?
No. Bootcamp isn’t included in membership, but members save $600.
When and where is it held?
Tampa Bay, Florida, Monday to Friday in the week of the third Monday of June. Dates are subject to change.
Do I need experience?
There are no prerequisites. We recommend Bootcamp after Fundamentals 1–3, especially if you’re seeking certification.
How is Bootcamp different from the Intensive?
Bootcamp is five days and covers the whole procedure in depth, including post-X-ray interpretation and clinical topics. The Intensive is a two-day weekend of demonstration and hands-on practice. Bootcamp is where you learn the technique in full; an Intensive keeps your skills sharp in between.
How often should I attend?
We recommend attending Bootcamp at least once every five years, with an Intensive at least every three years in between. The technique keeps being refined, and a full week of supervised practice keeps your whole procedure current.
Does Bootcamp count toward certification?
Yes. Bootcamp is part of the pathways to Level 1 Certification, either after Fundamentals 1–3 or together with an advanced seminar such as the Intensive.
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
No. Hands-on seminars provide the instruments and imaging you train on.
What should I bring?
Your laptop, and any cases you’d like help with: X-rays, exam findings and other case information, with patient names removed.
Can students attend?
Yes. Chiropractic students are welcome at Institute training. Bring proof of current enrollment.
