You’ve seen it explained. Now learn it with your hands.
You’ve sat through the lectures and watched the videos. You understand the procedure on paper, but with a patient on the table you still wonder whether the setup is right, and it’s been years since anyone watched you run an exam.
That isn’t a lack of effort. Most seminars leave little time to practice, and once you’re in practice no one is there to correct you, so it’s easy to spend years with a habit no one has caught.
Two days with instructors at your side
The AdvO Intensive is built for exactly this. On day one, our instructors demonstrate every step of the procedure: the history and exam, X-ray and CBCT setup and analysis, pattern understanding, the corrective setup, and the adjustment.
On day two, it’s your turn. You run the exam and set up patients yourself, from simple to advanced setups, while instructors watch and correct your habits on the spot. You finish with case studies and your own questions, so you leave knowing your setup is right.
Why doctors come to the Intensive
Practice, Not Just Theory
Day two is a full day of supervised practice, so you leave having done each step yourself.
Feedback While It Counts
Instructors watch your setup and correct it on the spot, before a habit forms.
All Three Fundamentals, Hands-On
Its hands-on training covers Fundamentals 1–3, making it the in-person companion to the Monthly Huddle on Zoom.
Chiropractors learn best by doing
Learn It by Doing. Performing a leg check, positioning a patient and lining up the instrument are skills with our hands.
It Stays With You. You remember a step you’ve performed far better than one you’ve only watched or read about.
Mistakes Become Lessons. When a step goes wrong on Saturday, an instructor catches it and shows you the fix on the spot.
Getting started is simple
Choose Your Weekend
Pick St. Petersburg, Florida, or Orem, Utah. Each weekend is held in a working clinic set up for training.
Train for Two Days
Watch each step demonstrated on Friday, then do it yourself on Saturday. See it, then do it: that’s experiential learning.
Take It Into Practice
Use the procedure in your clinic, then keep building with the Monthly Huddle, Bootcamp and Level 1 Certification. Come back at least once every three years to keep your skills sharp.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to finish the Fundamentals first?
No. You can attend an Intensive at any point. Its hands-on training covers all three Fundamentals, and it pairs well with the Monthly Huddle on Zoom, where Fundamentals 1–3 are taught live.
What does it cost?
$1,295 per weekend, or $1,095 for AOI members.
When and where is it held?
The Intensive is offered three times a year, and each registration is for one weekend: the third Friday and Saturday of February at the Pierce Clinic of Chiropractic in St. Petersburg, Florida; the third Friday and Saturday of April at Sound Corrections Chiropractic in Orem, Utah; and the fourth Friday and Saturday of August at Cerebral, 7601 Dr. M.L.K. Jr. St. N., Suite E, St. Petersburg, Florida. Dates are subject to change.
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
No. Hands-on seminars provide the instruments and imaging you train on.
What should I bring?
Your laptop, and any cases you’d like help with: X-rays, exam findings and other case information, with patient names removed.
What are the hours?
9:00 am to 6:00 pm on Friday and Saturday. Snacks and lunch are provided both days.
Does the Intensive carry CE credit?
Yes. Every Intensive carries 16 hours of continuing education credit through Sherman College of Chiropractic. CE for one state is included in the price. State approvals vary, so check yours before you register, and sign in and out of every session to receive credit.
What will I receive?
A binder at sign-in, notes for each module, and a glossary of the updated AdvO terminology.
Can students attend?
Yes. Chiropractic students are welcome at Institute training. Bring proof of current enrollment.
How often should I attend?
We recommend attending an Intensive at least once every three years. The technique keeps being refined, and a weekend of supervised practice is the best way to stay on top of your skills.
What comes after the Intensive?
Keep building: the Monthly Huddle every month, the AdvO Bootcamp each June, and the Level 1 Certification track.
