Where You Are

Every correction is only as good as what comes before it

You want to know your exam is telling you the truth and your X-rays are reliable enough to measure. Maybe you learned the basics once, filled in the gaps on your own, and now you’re eyeing CBCT without knowing where to start.

The problem usually isn’t skill. It’s that the foundation was never laid out step by step, and when the exam or the images are off, everything after them is a guess.

How We Help

The Monthly Huddle starts at the beginning

Fundamental 1 is taught live on Zoom in the Monthly Huddle, on the second Tuesday of each month from October through January at 9:00 pm Eastern.

Our instructors lay the foundation step by step: why AdvO works the way it does, a patient history and exam you can rely on, and how to set up the sagittal, axial, frontal and horizontal views and CBCT so every image is reliable enough to measure. Every session leaves time for your own cases and questions.

What You Gain

Why start with Fundamental 1

Fundamental for a Reason

Every profession drills the basics, and the best practitioners keep returning to them. Fundamental 1 is where those drills begin.

Learn It From Home

Live on Zoom, one evening a month, with no travel or time away from your practice. Every session is recorded, so you can watch it again whenever it suits you.

Bring Your Own Cases

Every session leaves time for your questions and the cases you’re working on now.

Your First Step to Certification

The full Fundamentals Series, together with Bootcamp, is one of the pathways to Level 1 Certification.

Did You Know

What our internal research shows

Upper cervical doctors judge their work by four things: neurological changes, structural changes, patient outcomes and holding patterns. The Institute tracks all four in Advanced Orthogonal practices. Here are a few of the figures you’ll learn about in Fundamental 1.

Neurological changes80%of patients’ supine leg checks improved from the initial exam to after the adjustment. The two examining doctors agreed within a quarter inch 87% of the time.
Structural changes36–57%median improvement in the misalignment angles measured on X-ray
Patient outcomes83%of 96 patients scored better on the RAND-36 health survey at their two-week re-evaluation, by 8 points on average, which is twice the minimum meaningful change
Holding patterns51%of patients needed only one adjustment during their entire care plan. On average, a correction held for 18 months.

From the Institute’s internal practice data, not yet published or peer reviewed. Individual results vary.
